Recent statistics claim that the average income in America is $65,000. Yet there is more discontent in America today than during the Great Depression of the 30’s! Pretty hard to believe when you see a low unemployment and the booming economy of the U.S. Why?
You may have noticed that I have been posing questions for weeks that you need to ask yourself in order for you to be aware of the answers to tough questions kids ask us…even the older kids. These questions mark the core of a Godly Christian Legacy. Underlying all the questions is the reality of God’s love for us and what that means. Through that love, God frees us.
One of the greatest barriers to understanding the love of Jesus is shame.
Matthew says that you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer if you believe. 1 John 5 says that if you ask anything according to His will He hears us. So, in praying for one another, we are simply to pray in faith says the Bible. “But the true question,” says Alister Begg, “is faith in what?”
I know, this is an offensive statement/question to most Christians, but it is what many of our children believe.
You might want to call compassion the “wallpaper of Jesus’ soul” and the “contour of His heart”. Living the life in the Spirit that we share with our children is the most important Legacy we can leave, but explaining it is not easy.
Deep inside each of us, this feeling of shame affects all our words and actions in some way. If you deny it, your pride is getting in the way and you have only to go deeper to see the shame.site is true.
